Volunteer Fundraiser

​

The objective of this role is to raise funds to aid the development of Age Concern Chiswick so that we can develop the services that we provide and offer them to more people. The work will involve interacting with local companies and the London Borough of Hounslow (LBH).  Also it will be necessary to identify potential sources of grants to charities and to make applications from time to time. Local companies and LBH Councillors and Officers should be contacted on a regular basis (principally via email) to inform them of our activities and ambitions and ways in which they can support us.  The work will involve liaison with our Publicity Manager.

The role calls for the following skills and attributes :-

 

• An articulate and persuasive manner

 

• Reasonable capabilities with Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Outlook

 

• An organised approach to working as a user of a database

 

It is anticipated that the work will require about 4 hours time per week. The role could be largely home-based or, if preferred, partly based in our office.
